Let’s Talk About Hanging Art in the Hallway
The hallway is a very underrated and ignored space for art placement in the home. Creating a beautiful hallway space can really take your home to the next level. Here are our top tips for hanging art in the hallways of your home:
The key to choosing the shape and size of the art to match your hall is to mimic the shape of the space.
If you have a long hall space, choosing a piece with more length than hight is great for elongating the space. Similarly, if you have a hall with a high ceiling a tall piece is perfect.
Have a tight hall space?
Place a mirror opposite to open the space and bring the colour from the art to the other side of the wall. A mirror can also allow you to experiment with shapes. This could be through an arch mirror etc.
The hallway can be used as a lead up to an extravagant and large piece at the end room.
You can use a combination of small pieces that are more neutral to not take away from your favourite pieces.
